Walking Dead Season 5: Early Death Predictions – Part 4

facebooktwitterreddit

With season 5 of AMC’s The Walking Dead approaching rapidly, I’ve decided to try my hand at predicting the deaths of the characters.  I know I’ll struggle because of how unpredictable The Walking Dead is when it comes to characters living or dying.  However, I’ll give it my best shot.

Here is my obscenely early guesses as to who will make it out of season 5 alive and who will end up a meal for a walker:

(Warning- There are some spoilers below)

Glenn Rhee on Hershel’s porch with one eyebrow raised.

Glenn Rhee

  • This is one of the toughest calls.  I like Glenn and love the dynamic with him and Maggie. I also enjoyed watching him transform from a city pizza delivery boy, to a errand boy and then finally to a group leader.  There are rumors that Glenn will die this season, but I’m not buying it.  The show needs a strong Asian character and Glenn is one that many folks are fully invested in.  Chance of death: 40%

Maggie Greene

Maggie Greene

  • This one is easy.  Maggie shouldn’t be one of the characters on the chopping block.  With the relationship she is in with Glenn and the rumored pregnancy angle makes her an even less expendable character.  They won’t have another woman die during childbirth or while pregnant, so I can’t see Maggie getting offed this year, especially with a major storyline on the way.  Chance of death: 15%

Tara

Tara Chambler

  • Sadly, Tara is expendable.  Her story has been told and she’s served her purpose of getting Glenn back to Maggie.  Now, unless creative can come up with something really interesting for her character, I don’t think she’s going to last very long.  That’s a shame because I feel that her character’s awkwardness adds a fun dimension to the show.  Sadly, I think that she could be one of the main characters that doesn’t make it to the end of the season.  Chance of death: 70%

Beth Greene

  • There is a major angle with Beth going on during season 5.  Things look bleak for her in the season 5 trailer, and that is one reason why I don’t think Beth will be one of fallen.  Considering the situation that she is in, I think it’s too obvious of a storyline to have her die in that facility.  Instead, I think she will escape and we will continue to watch Beth grow up and become a woman in the zombie apocalypse.  Chance of death: 25%

This is the fourth in the series of death predictions for characters on The Walking Dead.  With many other characters to talk about, keep an eye out for the rest of the series.  Make sure to let me know what you think of my predictions.  Am I WAY off base?  Do you agree with me?  Let me know in the comments!
