Norman Reedus Addresses Whether Daryl Was In Love With Beth

The Walking Dead makes viewers read between the lines a lot, and that’s never more true than is the case with the romance or non-romance between Beth and Daryl. 

Daryl and Beth are two characters that The Walking Dead fans just cannot stop talking about. Beth, for very obvious reasons, is a topic of conversation with fans right now but her romance with Daryl is something that keeps getting kicked up as a debate topic.

The whole reasons it’s a big deal is fans are torn down the center between believing Daryl and Beth were romantically linked and believing they were just really good friends.

In his AMA session on Reddit recently, Norman Reedus dove into the idea of whether or not Beth and Daryl could have had a romance on The Walking Dead.

"“There was definitely a taste of it in the air,”"

That’s not really the definitive in-depth answer that anyone wanted, but then again why answer a question that has fueled so much debate among fans over the last year? Ever since Daryl and Beth hooked up — not like that — in season four and had to survive together, there has been the notion that they were a perfect couple.

Daryl was no doubt attached to Beth, but was it a romantic link or more of a sibling link, as in he saw Beth as a younger sister he needed to protect?

Either way, Beth is gone and the story has shifted from being about Beth and Daryl being love to how Daryl will deal with the death his lover/sister/friend/whatever-the-hell Beth was to him.
