The Walking Dead: How to Combat Walker Withdrawals

facebooktwitterreddit

Walker Withdrawals!  To paraphrase a famous Seinfeld quote, they’re real! But they’re not spectacular!  Hard core Walking Dead Fans have experienced the symptoms at one time or another. The only real cure is a brand new episode. But we won’t have one of those until October.  So what is one to do in the meantime to deal with the pain and suffering of withdrawal? Some of the ideas I will present here may not be new ideas, but reminders of what we can do when those really tough times hit–ways we can prepare now for those times. I also tried to come up with some additional, more creative options that maybe you hadn’t thought of in your woozy, walker withdrawn state.

  • Have DVD,  Netflix, DVR on call.
  • Hope and pray for Dead, White and Blue 4th of July marathon.
  • Start a Twitter account just for WD things.
  • Like Walking Dead fan pages on Facebook.
  • Search Pinterest for memes to post and share.
  • Watch Toy Story and make comparisons.
  • Rent The Walking Deceased (spoof movie).
  • Consider comic-cons or cosplay (costumes).
  • Plan your season premiere party.
  • Follow us on Twitter! @UndeadWalkingFS
  • Follow us on Facebook!  Undeadwalking
  • Consider joining us to write about Walking Dead!
  • Consider getting an action figure and joining the Tiny doll craze!
  • Plan a trip to Atlanta for the Big Zombie Tours.
  • Play games like The Imagination Game, A to Z or just scrambled words!
  • Wear Walking Dead Tshirts.
  • Look on Etsy and Amazon for Walking Dead/Zombie stuff.
  • Start watching Fear the Walking Dead!
  • Start drawing, play Pictionary or check out amazing fan artists!
  • Read the comics, novels or play the videogames.
  • Always stop and look at the flowers!!!

I hope I’ve given you at least one new way to combat your walker withdrawals. If you were already doing all of these things or had already thought of them all, you’re in pretty good shape to last until October. If you have more or better ideas, please let us know in the comments. We all need help during these trying times.
