The Walking Dead: Negan’s appearance in the finale will be bone-chilling
By Susie Graham
Negan’s name has been spoken on The Walking Dead, but we won’t see him until the season 6 finale of our favorite AMC zombie show on April 3rd.
Comic readers have been waiting a long time for the appearance of Negan. For fans of the show who are just getting used to the idea, we’ve been waiting since it became real with the casting and the speaking of his name in the mid-season finale last fall.
Most of us, even if we haven’t read the comics, are aware of Negan’s reputation and know a little bit about him. We know enough to be terrified. We are aware that he runs an apocalyptic protection business. A walker payola scheme. And I don’t think it’s voluntary.
Lucille, his barbed wire wrapped baseball bat assists him in making the offers people can’t refuse.

Scott Gimple calls Negan “the darkest incarnation of a bully… a very magnetic character…the star of his own movie.” Kirkman promises Negan’s April 3rd appearance in the finale will be “bone-chilling”. (via

Negan isn’t the only comic book character we will see in this coming chapter of season 6. Paul “Jesus” Monroe is joining the group at some point, Many of our readers speculate that Jesus may have a hand in helping Sasha, Abe, and Daryl out of their present predicament.
Another comic character joining us is Gregory. Another coward to add to Eugene and Gabriel. Gregory is a leader of a nearby community known as the hilltop. I’ve seen many excited comments from comic readers such as, “bring on the hilltop!”
I know they are trying to keep Negan pretty pure from everything I’ve read. But according to TV Insider, Kirkman had this to say about Gregory, “We’re changing it in some ways so readers will experience a slightly different Gregory than we have in the comic.”
Jesus will be played by Tom Payne. Xander Berkeley will portray Gregory and Jeffrey Dean Morgan landed the role of Negan. We will be introduced to those three beloved comic characters in this half of season 6. I’m afraid to imagine who and how many characters we already know that we’ll lose in that same time period.
