The Walking Dead issue #151: Call To Arms preview

Things look to be getting intense leading up to issue #151 of The Walking Dead’s comic book series titled “Call To Arms”, where Rick Grimes is at a crossroads with his people.

The comic book world of The Walking Dead is a brutal place to live. While Alexandria has become a constant in the lives of survivors, just about everything else has been turned upside-down during the zombie apocalypse.

To many, it was a shock to see that Rick Grimes would turn to a man like Negan for advice on how to get the people of Alexandria behind him, but when things get tough, people can get desperate. Rick showing mercy on his attacker in issue #150 of The Walking Dead and Negan’s pleasure in the situation left fans with an odd taste in their mouths, but the appearance of Dwight with Lucille should have everyone both excited and worried.

Carl Grimes represents something entirely polarizing in the comics. His relationship with Lydia got physical in the last installment of The Walking Dead, so now he could find himself in a pickle since he says he wants to be strong like his father Rick.

Issue #151 of The Walking Dead will offer some strange situations. Rick Grimes has declared that a military will be formed by Alexandria to attack and kill members of The Whisperers for their mass killing of Rick’s people to create a boundary with their heads on posts. Among the most heartbreaking of all those deaths were Ezekiel and Rosita, who was pregnant.

When issue #151 hits newsstands on February 3, 2016, we should learn a lot more about Rick’s new militia, Carl’s intentions with Lydia, and what exactly Dwight is planning on doing with Negan’s best friend Lucille. While it would be great to jump right into the action, it doesn’t appear as though that is the point where we are at in the series, and physical conflict could be a couple of issues away.

One of the major questions left unanswered is just how much Rick took from his talk with Negan and what kind of strange respect has developed between the two men. The thought of those two men coming together on anything should be scary for anyone involved.
