Talking Dead and Chris Hardwick were not safe from the comedic stylings of Netflix exclusive program BoJack Horseman, which got a nice dig in on the program.

The world of The Walking Dead is a massive place. With two television shows, the comic book series, toys, trading cards, action figures, and more, there is always room for more. The hit AMC show even spawned a show where people just sit around and talk about the new episodes for an hour, which is an unbelievable feat.

This kind of popularity opens up the door for the product to be the butt of jokes as well as praise. In addition to an upcoming episode of Robot Chicken and numerous YouTube videos including Rick It!, Carl Poppa, and more, Netflix original program BoJack Horseman got a nice little joke in on Talking Dead, Chris Hardwick, and his other “Talking” shows.

The moment came in the season 3 premiere of BoJack Horseman titled “Start Spreading The News”, BoJack’s publisher Pinky Penguin (voiced by Patton Oswalt) was describing the success of the company, called MBN, and his promotion to become the head of the company when Talking Dead got a minor nod as well as a big mention for Chris Hardwick:

"“The network is finally breaking even, thanks to the runaway success of Holywoo Stars and Celebrities: What Do They Know? Do They Know Things? Let’s Find Out! Not to mention its companion show Talking Hollywoo Stars and Celebrities: What Do They Know? Do They Know Things? Let’s Find Out, With Chris Hardwick.”"

BoJack Horseman has accumulated a loyal following on Netflix through a great storyline and fun joke telling. With a stellar cast of comedic geniuses including Will Arnett, Amy Sedaris, Paul F. Thompkins, Kristen Schaal, and more, the humor comes fast and furious with a touch of the dark side.

The program’s willingness to joke about pop culture and other familiar topics in a tongue-in-cheek kind of way is something that helps to set BoJack Horseman apart from other animated comedies on television.
