The Walking Dead: Complete Sixth Season LE set makes a great gift idea

Every episode of The Walking Dead season 6 is included in the limited edition set with a lot of extras and a McFarlane statue, but is it worth the purchase?
Each year, a new box set filled with episodes from the most recent completed season of The Walking Dead comes out, and each year the folks from AMC and Anchor Bay raise the bar when it comes to the limited edition set.
The improvements started off with a very visually appealing statue from Todd McFarlane to hold the book full of discs. The statue is a throwback to the season 6 premiere, showing a walker attempting to squeeze through a gap between two trucks.
While the statue doesn’t have the amount of gory detail as season 5’s napalm walker, the display serves as a nice bookend as well as actually has moving chains as a part of the statue itself and that same walker graces the front of the Blu-Ray packaging as well.
Aside from the very visually appealing statue, it’s the meat and potatoes of the set where The Walking Dead: The Complete Sixth Season really shines. All 16 episodes of the season are included on the disc with a ton of special features, including some great commentary from the cast and crew.

The best part of owning these collections is the audio commentary. The insight that goes into each scene as well as the playful banter of the cast and crew and their personal stories add so much to each episode and can actually make fans look at entire episodes in a different way.
However, many fans of the comic book series and those who enjoy some more colorful language in the zombie apocalypse will be drawn to the extended scene with Negan. During this scene, the dialogue from the popular comic is almost verbatim, and the power of Negan’s words feel a bit different with the inclusion of many 4-letter words.
Also included in the set is a digital version of every episode, which can be accessed through a passcode included in the packaging.
