Comic book cover analysis: The Walking Dead issue 172 ‘Hilltop Reborn’

The cover for issue 172 of The Walking Dead has been released and the October issue titled ‘Hilltop Reborn’ shows survivors hard at work rebuilding homes.

A lot has happened in the recent issues of The Walking Dead. The comic book series has tore at the hearts of fans as well as delivered intense action and intriguing situations to make readers wonder what will happen next.

Thankfully, there are some clues. TheWalkingDead.com recently released an article on their official website with some details regarding issue 172 of the series which will be released in October of 2017.

As you can see, the cover features Carl Grimes hard at work at The Hilltop putting shingles on a roof while others work in the background to repair their home back to living conditions.

Of course, The Hilltop was nearly reduced to ashes by The Whisperers during their intense battle where walkers flooded the area and flaming arrows soared into the community, causing massive amounts of damage.

Carl has already told his father that The Hilltop is his home now and he doesn’t want to stay in Alexandria, and this cover shows just how important the community is to him and his possible future with Lydia.
