***WARNING: TWD 170 SPOILERS BELOW***

The issue kicks off with Michonne and her group riding their horses toward Ohio. She tells the group they are still in the safe zone, so it should still be quiet. Yumiko says she is excited for the trip because she has never been that far north in her life. Michonne gets quiet, and Eugene asks her what is wrong. She replies that Yumiko now has her worried.

Back in Alexandria, Rick is talking to Jesus. He says he wants him to keep an eye on Dwight, after being nervous about their earlier conversation and how he is volatile after the death of Sherry. He wants to believe Dwight is a good man going through a hard time, but is concerned he may do something drastic.

A resident from Alexandria enters Rick’s home and asks him to check in on Mikey. Left alone after the death of Paula, she is worried about him. Rick agrees to do so.

The scene shifts to the wagons heading back to The Hilltop. Brianna is talking to Maggie about how Dante’s silly nature usually helps to make the long trips easier. However, Maggie didn’t hear any of it. She was zoned out with her mind elsewhere.

Meanwhile, Negan is fighting walkers on his journey to find a new place to live. In classic Negan fashion, he delivers one liners and taunts to the undead as he eliminates them with his knife. When he’s done, he grabs his bag with a gun and says he needs to save that for when people are around. In the background, Dante can be seen watching him.

At Dwight’s house, Laura is talking to him about losing Sherry. She says she can’t really relate to the situation but doesn’t like what it is doing to him. Dwight asks what she means…and she replies by saying she doesn’t like that he threatened Rick.

Dwight says he shouldn’t have stopped there. He compares Rick to Negan, except that he saw Negan as essential to maintain order and protect people, and they are essentially the same. Laura asks him if he really believes that.

Rick goes to check on Mikey. He tells the boy that he understands that losing his parents is hard but he reminds Mikey that he isn’t alone and the community is there for him and have all lost people very important to them.

Rick starts tearing up during his monologue. He starts thinking about how different life would be in Alexandria if some people close to him were still there. Mikey is crying as well, and the two share an emotional moment and a big hug.

Michonne and the group meet an armored soldier from The Kingdom. He says it has been quiet to the edge of the safe zone and maybe a mile past, but is unsure of anything after that. Those words excite Yumiko, who is jokingly told to shut up by Magna before they continue on their way.

A group from The Kingdom meet up with Maggie and the caravan to The Hilltop on the road. Maggie says she’s surprised to see them, but William has brought supplies from the community over to help in the reconstruction of their community and offers them to The Hilltop.

On his travels, Negan finds the grave he made for his barbed-wire baseball bat Lucille. He gives a short memorial for his fallen weapon as Dante continues to watch through some trees in the distance.

Back with the group headed to Ohio, Eugene tells Siddiq that he has to pee, but offers to take over watch afterwards. Siddiq declines and says he’s got it. After peeing, Eugene starts to get his sleeping bag ready when he spots Yumiko and Magna making out in a sleeping bag and watches until a scream rings out.

Michonne is being attacked by a walker. As she deals with the undead, Eugene runs to check on Siddiq. Surrounded by walkers, Siddiq fights all he can. Eugene shoots one in the head and Michonne decapitates another as Yumiko and Magna join the fight and save Siddiq.

Magna calls out Siddiq for being the lookout, but he says they approached in the dark and he didn’t see them. Nobody says they were bit, and Michonne takes over watch for Siddiq. Before they can settle back in, Eugene says they need to move. They’ve made noise and the sun will be up soon, so they might as well get started.

Jesus and Aaron are talking and the idea of moving to The Hilltop to help with reconstruction is discussed. Aaron asks if leaving Dwight with Rick is a good idea, but Jesus seems okay with that idea after watching him for four days. Aaron also doesn’t know how useful he’ll be, as he’s still recovering from his fight with The Whisperers. The two share an adorable moment and Jesus says he loves Aaron.

The group headed to Ohio approaches a city. They decide to go through, even though they know the dangers of densely populated areas. The area is like a ghost town, with bodies and debris everywhere, and not a single walker in sight.

Making a campfire on the rooftop, the group rests for the night. Siddiq and Eugene are talking privately. Siddiq says he hasn’t felt good for months, and has been hiding something from everyone.  He confesses to a stunned Eugene that Rosita loved him as the comic comes to a close.
