Jon Bernthal and Frank Dillane to be in same film: Viena and the Fantomes

Jon Bernthal and Frank Dillane will both star in film Viena and the Fantomes, Walking Dead and Fear’s respective universes surreally together on-screen.
For the first time, The Walking Dead’s and Fear the Walking Dead’s cast will meet on neutral territory! Actors Jon Bernthal (Shane Walsh) and Frank Dillane (Nick Clark) are both starring in upcoming movie Viena and the Fantomes. The film follows young girl Viena (Dakota Fanning) as she travels travel across North America with punk band The Fantomes. A starstudded list of major names includes Dakota Fanning, Evan Rachel Wood, Zoë Kravitz, Caleb Landry Jones, and Olivia Luccardi alongside Bernthal and Dillane.
Viena and the Fantomes, directed and written by Gerardo Naranjo, first surfaced around 2014 with a teaser trailer. Coincidentally, Naranjo directed an episode of Fear the Walking Dead in 2016, “Pillar of Salt”. The second season’s 12th episode.

Frank Dillane first appears in the trailer at the 34 and 46-47 second mark, Jon Bernthal at 1:05-06. Both appear @ 1:27-1:30 in the trailer.
Though not in the same scene Bernthal discusses Dillane’s character briefly, “You sure made a lot of noise here, I got a crazy kid on my hands”.
Dillane appears again in the trailer on a motorcycle at the 1:39-1:41 mark, Fear the Walking Dead premiere style at 1:45, walking at 1:47 and along with Dakota Fanning at 1:50-1:51 marks.
The film is currently listed as completed on IMDB and should be out later this year.
Interesting fact, the film’s original shooting occurred before Frank Dillane’s first appearance on Fear the Walking Dead. Almost like an unofficial prequel.
Alycia Debnam-Carey mentioned during a Build Series interview that she’d love to fight alongside Maggie if she could choose any Walking Dead cast member to crossover to Fear the Walking Dead.

It would definitely be must-see TV, if we ever saw good ole’ Shane Walsh actually be the first Walking Dead original to make it onto Fear. A whole new spin. For now, we get to see the two universes semi-crossover unofficially in the upcoming Viena and the Fantomes.
