Undead Walking spoke with Fear The Walking Dead actor Colman Domingo at Atlanta Walker Stalker Con. He shared thoughts on Victor Strand as well as laughs.

Undead Walking had the awesome opportunity when Tracey Phillipps and I were able to interview Fear The Walking Dead actor Colman Domingo during Atlanta’s Walker Stalker Convention. He’s easy going and full of laughs. This is a direct contrast to his character Victor Strand, who is considered by some to be vindictive and malicious.

His stylish persona came naturally to Colman. When asked if he worked with a stylist, he admitted he’d thought about it but prefers mixing it up himself and finding playful colors and outfits.  Showing off his attire for the Atlanta Walker Stalker Convention, he revealed his vibrant shirt with 2 parrots and beautiful flowers.  I gave the shirt two thumbs up and really wanted to buy one for myself.

Victor Strand is a complex character. Never siding with the good or bad. Instead, he seeks out those persons who can directly benefit him. Throughout Fear the Walking Dead viewers witnessed Strand lie, cheat and betray anyone who got in his way.

Colman on whether he considers Strand a good person:

"“I believe there is some goodness within him. He has the capacity to be good. He’s operating from a place of Pragmatic sense. I think at his center he’s good person but sometimes he makes decisions that are not about the wellness of everyone.”"

Colman shared his views on Strands relationship with Madison Clark.  Despite Strand’s cunning nature and bouts of betrayal, he is always loyal to Madison.  Why Madison? What makes their relationship so special?

Colman discusses a moment during Season 3 “Sleigh Ride” Strand asking Madison Clark what she wanted.

"“ I  love the scene on top of the Dam. They were just having a talk and he pulls out some scotch.  What do you want?  I     Imagine what we can build here.  In my mind, that’s the closest thing to Strand in this new world giving a proposal”"

Fear the Walking Dead will return for season 4 on future Sundays at 9 pm on AMC. The return date for has not been announced, but fans will definitely want to know what happened following that insane season 3 finale episode.
