Take a look at three preview panels from issue 177 of The Walking Dead comics titled ‘New World Order Part 3 of 6’ released March 2018.
The Walking Dead will return with another installment in the popular comic book series on Wednesday, March 7, 2018 where the story of the survivors heading to Ohio to meet up with Stephanie’s group will continue.
Despite everything happening at The Commonwealth, issue 177 titled ‘New World Order Part 3 of 6’ seems to revolve around events at The Hilltop and possibly give readers a peek into what is happening outside of the new community.
Let’s take a look at the preview panels for issue 177 of The Walking Dead as shared on the official website of Skybound:
Here is a breakdown of what is happening in each of the panels and what it could mean for the comic book series heading forward:
More from Undead Walking
- Walking Dead alum Jayson Warner Smith promotes new film, Chipper, watch it now
- Walking Dead actor Chandler Riggs filming new movie in Tampa Bay
- Why is there no season 12 of The Walking Dead?
- Will Morgan Jones find Rick Grimes in The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live spinoff?
- Watch Tales of TWD actress Jillian Bell in Prime Video’s Candy Cane Lane
The first panel shows construction happening on The Hilltop. The person watching from the walls is being relieved of their duties while others are hammering on buildings or carrying lumber around the community. This is no surprise since rebuilding is essential at both The Hilltop and Alexandria after attacks by The Whisperers.
Admittedly, the two characters making out in the second panel are hard for me to discern. At first glance, it looks to be Annie and Mikey. Even though Annie is older than Mikey, the two did share some huge moments after the death of Mikey’s mother which may have bonded them together. However, it’s hard to confirm that it is indeed those two characters swapping spit as walkers approach.
Finally, Rick is very conflicted in the last panel. Either talking to himself or to someone else, he states that he doesn’t even know where to begin. This could be in Alexandria or maybe even talking to someone over the radio from The Commonwealth. It is difficult to even speculate on what could be bothering Rick.
