Diane Kruger joining Death Stranding with Norman Reedus as co-lead?

Actress Diane Kruger could potentially be joining Norman Reedus in Death Stranding, judging by photos with Game Director Hideo Kojima.

Acclaimed actress Diane Kruger was photographed with Death Stranding Game Director Hideo Kojima over in Japan recently. Kruger was promoting the Tokyo launch of her new foreign film In the Fade according to British news site Daily Mail. It could be a simple, friendly meetup with Kojima or a major groundbreaking secret and spoiler revealed for the next big game.

Now, speculation has previously been underway after Kojima spoke of his love for La La Land on Twitter that actress Emma Stone was joining the cast. Especially after Kojima stated he met one of his favorite actresses in the last ten years on Twitter. Though the Stone game ‘leak’ turned out to be a photoshop, the Kruger rumor making waves could easily be legit.

Kruger is the girlfriend of Death Stranding lead Norman Reedus… A line that makes every Mrs. Reedus hopeful shed an instant tear. It’s not too much of a stretch to think she met Kojima during the game’s development with Reedus and offered the role of lead female protagonist. Real couples work best on-screen if that’s the intention, think Kurt Russell and Goldie Hawn. Perhaps, she’s the actress Kojima was actually referring to meeting last year in that Tweet?

It has to be taken into account that Akin and Kojima are friends and he could have introduced his star Kruger to Kojima for the first time. Maybe it’s not Death Stranding related but you can never be sure with Kojima!

Above: Here Kruger calls Akin and Kojima “Legends” with a heart symbol on Instagram. Is she just a lifetime Metal Gear Solid fan or did she happen to work with Kojima recently? Just sayin’.
