There is quite a bit going on in the cover of issue 180, so here’s a breakdown of some notable things that can be observed:

First of all, the cover appears to be set at Alexandria. With much of the focus being placed on The Commonwealth lately, seeing the soldiers with their feet planted on the soil of Rick’s leadership is concerning.

However, it isn’t too concerning. The soldiers don’t seem to be too aggressive since their weapons are in a relaxed position and they aren’t pointing them at anyone from the community.

Finally, Rick seems to be casually approaching the soldiers. There isn’t a lot of fear in his steps, instead it looks as though he’s a little disappointed or even deep in thought
