Predictions for The Walking Dead comic issue 181: Together Strong

What should fans expect when reading issue 181 of The Walking Dead comic book series titled “Together Strong” when it is released on July 4, 2018?

The Walking Dead is at a pivotal time in the relationship between The Commonwealth and the survivors led by Rick Grimes. A class war seems to be brewing where Rick and Pamela aren’t seeing eye-to-eye on how things should be run.

Now that the New World Order story arc is complete, it’s time to learn more about how The Commonwealth is going to view other communities like The Hilltop, The Kingdom, and even The Sanctuary.

Right now, all readers can do is guess what will happen in the July 4, 2018 issue of the series. Titled “Together Strong” and being issue 181 in the series, anything can happen moving forward and Undead Walking has our predictions.

Here are some of the events and activities that could be seen:

1. Rick and Pamela agree to disagree…for now. While the issue ended with a big stare down between the two community leaders, their differences will be put on hold while the visit from The Commonwealth continues.
2. The Hilltop reacts similarly to Alexandria. At high alert and working to rebuild their community, the reactions from Carl, Maggie, and others echo Alexandria. The people will be on high alert and not like the idea of potentially leaving the community they have worked so hard to protect and rebuild.
3. The Sanctuary kind of likes the idea. Living in that building has already led to a revolt by the people and the idea of being able to use their skills in a better community. This can create some conflict between the leaders who disagree on the best route to take.
4. Princess fits in well. The vocal newbie can rub some people the wrong way. Instead, she is breath of fresh air to the survivors. In fact, her fighting skills endear her even more to the group when she joins an attack on a group of walkers.
5. Rick worries about Michonne. A couple of times during this issue, Rick and other survivors should inquire about Michonne’s safety since she stayed behind at the new community, even though they completely understand why she did it.

This likely won’t be an action-packed issue, but there should be plenty of dialogue and minor conflicts to continue moving the story forward.
