Issue 192 of The Walking Dead comics to be oversized in June
By Adam Carlson
Issue 192 of The Walking Dead comic book series will be a bit longer than traditional issues in order to continue the story happening at the Commonwealth.
The world of The Walking Dead comics is absolutely reeling following the events of issue 191, where a shocking final scene established a cliffhanger which leaves readers everywhere wondering if everything will be okay.
Of course, the bad news is that fans will need to wait until the June 2019 issue of the popular zombie survival comic series to find out what happens…and considering the urgency of what happened this month, issue 192 can’t come soon enough.
Although things are looking quite grim, there has been some good news announced about the upcoming issue titled “Aftermath” by the creator of the series, Robert Kirkman. Here is his tweet containing the announcement:
Those who are caught up on the story realize just how big of an issue this could be for The Walking Dead as a series. The entire scope of the franchise could change based on the outcome of issue 192. The fact it is being expanded to 30 pages of the story instead of the traditional 32 total pages of issues like 191.
Considering the cover features Carl holding a gun and looking rather upset, that should be a good indication of what is in store. Carl has been attempting to keep himself together and do more for the communities and it looks as though he may have to take on even more responsibility in the future.
Whether or not the expanded size of issue 192 is a blessing or a curse remains to be seen. Whether you are optimistic about the chances things will be okay or preparing for the fallout of what could possibly be the most crushing event in the comic book series, those pages will be there to tell the story in the June 2019 issue of The Walking Dead.
