T- Dog sacrifices himself for Carol

Season 3 episode 4: “Killer Within”

Sara K. says:

My favorite moment from season 3 of The Walking Dead is one of the most heartbreaking, but also one of the most heroic. T-Dog sacrificed his life to let Carol live after a walker infestation happens at the prison.

T-Dog was bitten on the shoulder by a walker, but when Carol and T-Dog ran out of ammunition, he decided that the only way to save Carol, was to sacrifice himself. T-Dog selflessly sacrificed himself to the walkers in order for Carol to escape.

It was the most selfless and bravest act. T-Dog was always one of my favorite characters since season one because I found him to be so funny and totally relatable. When T-Dog died, it completely broke my heart. However knowing that he went out being a hero, made me love his character even more.

T-Dog’s sacrifice & heroic efforts have given Carol the most amazing journey on the show. Carol has become one of the most compelling characters on the show, and we have to thank T-Dog for letting us see Carol bloom in all of her beauty.  His act of bravery is something that should never be forgotten in the story. He used his last moments of life to be a hero.
