Daryl tells Lydia to get out of the cell as Carol brings their prisoner inside. She goes outside and Carol asks if she knows him. Lydia says he’s one of the keepers who watches over the guardians. She corrects herself to use their term, the “walkers.” Gabriel runs over and can’t believe that they endangered the whole community, but Daryl points out that it doesn’t matter because it’s already done. Gabriel insists that he will watch Carol interrogate him and Siddiq will treat him, and when Carol argues he invokes Michonne.

Carol invites Lydia to stay with her, and when they get to her house she thanks Daryl for backing her up but he says that what she said is the truth.

Later, Daryl is in his apartment and he takes his shirt off, revealing his scars. He calls Dog to him and they sit on the couch. He looks over at the double capper acorns and reflects.

Carol brings Lydia her weapon and offers the teen some medicine for her bruises. Lydia says she has had worse. Carol asks about their captive and Lydia knows who he is. Lydia tells her that he will never betray Alpha. She says that she hates the Whisperers, but she also knows them. She wishes she’d left with Henry when he asked. She reveals that her mom twists people into believing what she wants them to believe. Lydia thinks that if Carol shows him what they have in Alexandria, that it’s possible to live like that, then they might be able to prove that what Alpha is doing is wrong. She says an idea like that “is dangerous” and Alpha can’t stop ideas from spreading.

The Keeper is in the cell when Siddiq, Dante and Gabriel come in. Dante warns him not to try anything while Siddiq looks at the wound, which will need stitches. The Keeper sees Siddiq and says he knows him, saying the word “look” in a mesmerizing tone that makes Siddiq’s eyes grow wide as the memory of the barn returns. Gabriel quickly tells him to leave because Dante can tend to him.

Siddiq rushes out and tries to take some calming breaths, but seeing the iron fence sends him into another flashback of Alpha killing DJ.
