The Walking Dead cast can get involved on new TWDUniverse Twitch channel

Continuing a week of massive news about The Walking Dead universe, AMC Networks recently announced that they would be launching a Twitch channel called “TWDUniverse.” The channel will feature plenty of content that is focused on getting the fans involved, whether it be watchalongs of old episodes or recaps of the latest episodes from the newest seasons of the shows in The Walking Dead Universe.

What this channel presents is a great opportunity to get a lot of the younger fans involved in a way that they may not have been able to before. Of course, this Twitch content will be available and accessible for people of all ages, but Twitch’s popularity with teenagers and young adults makes it a great opportunity to grow the younger audience of The Walking Dead.

Getting some of the younger cast involved could be key to growing the channel and eventually expanding the audience of the shows in The Walking Dead Universe. While most people have at least heard of The Walking Dead, it is possible that many Twitch viewers have never seen the show before. By using the cast and their entertaining personalities to create interactive fan content, the TWDUniverse Twitch channel could usher in an era of younger fans that are new to The Walking Dead Universe.

Call of Duty Warzone with Chandler Riggs and Matt Lintz

The Walking Dead fans who are more familiar with Twitch may be aware that Carl himself, Chandler Riggs, is an avid Twitch streamer who has built a pretty impressive following and community streaming a variety of games. He has been joined in the past by former older Henry actor Matt Lintz, who occasionally streams a variety of games on his own channel.

Given that the two are friends offscreen, it makes perfect sense to have them both hop on the channel when they are free and play some games together. The two have both played shooter games like Call of Duty Warzone and Valorant in the past, so there are some options that would be entertaining for fans. They can read the chat and talk to fans all while playing a popular, action-packed game – sounds like a win-win for both Riggs and Lintz and fans alike.

Just Dance with Angel Theory

Let’s be honest with ourselves – most of us have spent plenty of time on the couch or in bed while staying inside during the pandemic. Believe it or not, the TWDUniverse can actually motivate us to get up and get active nowadays, with the help of Kelly herself, Angel Theory.

Anyone who follows Angel Theory on Instagram knows that she is passionate about dancing. What better game for her to play on The Walking Dead‘s Twitch channel than Just Dance? The game will let Theory have fun and show off her impressive dance moves, while also encouraging fans watching along to get involved and active themselves.

Theory has hosted plenty of Instagram Live sessions where she dances and talks with fans in the chat, so the move over to Twitch would be seamless for her.

Animal Crossing with Cassady McClincy and Cailey Fleming

Whenever fellow cast members talk about Cassady McClincy and Cailey Fleming, they always seem to note how energetic and fun the two young actors are. That’s why it makes perfect sense for the two to team up and play one of the biggest games of 2020: Animal Crossing.

McClincy and Fleming could host a relaxed but fun stream where they build an island together, or visit fans’ islands and just hang out. It would be a great place for fans to chill together and interact with a few of the newer members of the cast.

They will both be sure to make the streams entertaining and welcoming, and playing one of the more popular games in the world at the moment will welcome viewers who are new to the Walking Dead Universe. With so much stress going on in the world right now, this could be the perfect escape for Walking Dead fans.
