The Walking Dead is featuring “11 reveals leading up to season 11.” This is where each Thursday leading up to the premiere of season 11 on August 22, something new is released for the final season. Today’s release was a 1-minute teaser in this new art style that I am really digging.

We see a lot of the main cast, and then we see THE MERCER REVEAL. That alone was worth the watch. But, the slow-mo peeks at some of the badasses of the apocalypse are outstanding. And, that HUGE photo of The Wall of the Lost will have fans magnifying that image, searching for clues as I type.

That song, “Will You Fight” by Klergy, gives an ominous feel to the whole video. The lyrics “Will you run? Or will you fight?” It is a perfect question for the group as they prepare to go to war with yet another threat.

The first reveal showed some great photos of the characters in new locations, as Angela Kang told Entertainment Weekly the series would go to locations viewers have never seen. We saw mysterious subway tunnels and Eugene and company in fenced-in holding cells.

The next reveal released the titles of the episodes in part 1 of season 11 – the eleventh season will be released in three parts, each consisting of eight episodes. This gave fans something to go on, and much discussion was had about the meanings of these titles for the storyline.

The Walking Dead season 11 reveals

The Thursday reveals will keep the excitement building for season 11. Additionally, a mini-series, The Walking Dead: Origins, is another way to keep fans looking forward to a new season. This will consist of 4 episodes that focus on a specific character.

The Walking Dead: Origins schedule is as follows:

Daryl’s Story – Thursday, July 15

Maggie’s Story – Thursday, July 22

Negan’s Story – Thursday, July 29

Carol’s Story – Thursday, August 5

This week two teasers were also released; one featured some female characters, and the second featured the males. Both teasers featured glimpses of the new threat, the Reapers. These guys look pretty fearsome, and our group looks armed and ready to meet them.

All the hype building up this upcoming season has fans eager to see what will happen in the final season. Of course, along with that comes the sadness as the reality sets in, that this is the final season of the series.
