The Walking Dead season 11 returns to AMC in 2022

This Sunday, October 10, The Walking Dead airs the season 11 part 1 finale. Fans are saddened to know we won’t have another episode this year. But, exciting news!! Part 2 of season 11 will premiere in 2022.
The first part of season 11 has had a central focus on the Reapers, Maggie and Negan, a weakened Alexandria and the introduction of the Commonwealth. All of the storylines have been fleshed out, and we have learned much about the newest community, the Commonwealth, but there is much more to come.
In the official teaser below, we hear the voice of Lance Hornsby announcing the introduction of Governor Pamela Milton. It was announced months ago that Laila Robins would play this character. Governor Milton is a strong proponent of the social class system.
In the most recent episode, “Promises Broken,” we were introduced to Milton’s son Sebastian, whose personality mirrors his comic counterpart. With the introduction of this character, the question on everyone’s mind is, who will Sebastian kill in the series?
The Walking Dead season 11 part 2 premiere date
The Walking Dead season 11, part 2, will premiere on AMC on February 20, 2022. This is the expected time frame, as most seasons have had their midseason premieres in February. Episodes will continue with the early releases on AMC+ one week ahead of the AMC airing.
The next chapter of season 11 will have a deeper focus on the Commonwealth, and if Euguene gives away the location of Alexandria, could we see the Commonwealth enter that community?
It is bittersweet to have the date set for the release of part 2 of the final season. Everyone wants to know what happens next, but this only makes the reality of the end of the series even more real.
