The Walking Dead has officially aired the finale for part one of season 11. It is hard to wrap your head around the fact the final season is one-third over already. The main focuses have been the Reapers, Maggie and Negan, Alexandria, and the Commonwealth, and it looks like all of those will carry into part two.

The Commonwealth was a central topic at the end of the comics, so it isn’t a surprise that this arc will be carrying on into the second part of season 11. The Reapers storyline started very interesting; then, once the masks were removed, they didn’t seem to be as much of a threat. With Leah killing Pope and then betraying Daryl, it is hard to say what will happen next.

The Maggie and Negan story has just gone on for way too long. Either makeup and move on or don’t. Perhaps their agreement will hold, and we can move on to bigger and better things. The storm at Alexandria will only do further damage to the already weakened community, so if the Reapers or the Commonwealth show up, it will be hard for them to take a stand against either.

AMC dropped the ball when they released the season 11 part two teaser ahead of AMC’s airing of “For Blood.” This video showed way too much information going forward. It looks like the Commonwealth arrives at Alexandria, Daryl comes back with the food from Meridian,

And, there are many items hanging in the wind that haven’t been discussed, which is a disservice to the fans.

The Walking Dead has many open-ended topics

Why hasn’t anyone checked on Alden?

I have always been neutral where Maggie is concerned. I loved her and Glenn together, but other than that, I was indifferent. When she left, I was uninterested and the same about her return to the series. Now that she is back, I am over her and her attitude. She, the pot, calls the kettle, Negan, black on so many subjects it is just tiresome.

She leaves Alden, who wasn’t hurt that badly, alone in a church for how long now? And has Gabe running around checking on Reapers but never once does she even mention that one of their own is wounded and alone. If you will preach about being such a great leader and someone who truly cares for your family, put some action behind those words.

Where is Luke?

So, Luke isn’t a major character, but we haven’t seen anything or heard about him since “A Certain Doom” in season 10. He was pretty important in the Whisperer war with his fantastic sound system trick to lure the walkers away. And he was present during the majority of the episode.

Not every character can have a significant storyline, but there has been NO mention of him in 14 episodes. He is most likely with his new girlfriend, Jules.

This brings me to my next question.

What is going on with Oceanside?

The last we saw of this community was Virgil showing up to an empty location. They were all helping at Hilltop during the Whisperer attack there but wouldn’t they have someone to watch over?

The residents of Oceanside are supposed to have taken a dozen or so of the Hilltop residents back with them to further their community. So, Luke and Jules are probably there, but why not give some hint to that and why the heck aren’t they there fishing for the much-needed food?

These are just three of the questions I need answered after the mid-season finale.

Next. The Walking Dead’s first walker: Teddy Bear Girl. dark

The Walking Dead will return to AMC on February 20, 2022, with the first episode of part two of season 11.
