Fear the Walking Dead season 6 finale, refresher

If you have AMC+, you can view Fear the Walking Dead’s season seven premiere now. If not, you have to wait until October 17. It has been a minute since that last episode aired, so you might need a bit of a refresher to remind yourself about what happened.

The sixth season saw a resurgence in the series as the writing and storyline just got better and better. As we enter the seventh season, things look much different than before. There are gas masks, gooey-looking walkers, fallout, crispy bodies, all the aftermath of a nuclear bomb. A bomb that a madman set off in the previous season.

Fans of the series have gotten used to the almost western feel of the series in recent seasons but all that is about to change as we enter season seven. A reinvention of the series is what co-showrunner Andrew Chambills told fans at Comic-Con @home this summer.

Fear the Walking Dead season 6 recap

In season six, there were two main antagonists, Virginia and Teddy. Both of these characters are now dead, leaving that position open. Enter Victor Strand. He has made it clear in the trailer that he is doing things his way.

Strand double-crossed Morgan and tried to kill him. Morgan is now ready to come at Strand with all that he has. The battle of these two characters should be an exciting storyline.

Morgan and Grace have baby Morgan to care for now. This will be extremely difficult given the new climate they will need to learn to live in.

The beginning of the season will see June and John Dorie Sr. inside their bunker, and they will make a gruesome discovery.

Daniel, Wes, Luciana, Charlie, Jacob, and Sarah were rescued by a CRM helicopter sent by Al, piloted by Isabelle. The first look photos show this group at an unknown location.

Dwight and Sherry were last seen taking cover in a bunker, but a first look photo of these characters shows them cleaned up, with no protective gear and the background appears to be some type of military compound.

And, Alicia is still MIA in the mysterious bunker that Teddy locked her in. I am uncertain if anyone is alive that knows this location. It will be interesting to see how they find her.

There will be the introduction of some new characters in this season. We will see the return of Strand’s new friend Howard (Amid Abtahi), and a new character Will (Gus Halper), is another person Strand will meet. Demetrius Grosse, who played Emilie in season three as returned as a character named Josiah.
