If you are a fan of The Walking Dead series, it is no secret that it is ending. And, you also know that the final episode is filming. This is when the reality sets in, our favorite show is ending. And the fans aren’t the only ones feeling sentimental; Jeffrey Dean Morgan is too.

You undoubtedly follow many cast and crew on socials and see the nostalgic posts. It is bittersweet to see so many posts reminding us this is the end of this series. The fandom will carry on, but this series is the foundation of what has been created, and no matter how hard they try, it will never be reproduced.

Now, I am not saying we won’t get more great series and movies within the franchise; it will just never have that same feeling of the first time you saw the clean shaved face of Sheriff Deputy Rick Grimes as he walked to the gas station in search of fuel.

The Walking Dead – Jeffrey Dean Morgan

Fans of the series know who Jeffrey Dean Morgan, more affectionately known as JDM, is. He portrays the villain turned non-villain, Negan, in the series. This character divides the fandom as those who hate him do it with a vengeance, and the same energy is poured out from those who love him.

Morgan as a person, seems to be a down-to-earth guy who loves his family and friends with a great passion. You see nothing but love for miles if you scroll his Instagram account. Photos of his wife and kids, his animals, his friends, etc., show just how much he loves his life and his career.

The two most recent posts feature Norman Reedus, Christian Serratos and Josh McDermitt, with one caption: I know… two posts in a day. Maybe getting a tad sentimental. Love these people.

We can expect to see many more posts like these from Morgan and other cast and crew as the final episode is filmed. Keep them coming, but if you need me, I’ll be under my desk with a box of tissues.

The Walking Dead returns to AMC on Feb. 27 with the second episode of season 11B, “New Haunts.” This episode is available to stream on AMC+.
