The Walking Dead Kevin Deiboldt shares fanart for his favorite episode
By Renee Hansen
The Walking Dead is known for its talented cast and crew who work together to create the best series out there. One of those individuals is writer and producer Kevin Deiboldt.
He has written four Walking Dead episodes “Bonds,” “The Tower” with Julia Ruchman, “Home Sweet Home” with Corey Reed, and one of this writer’s favorite episodes, “On the Inside.” Each of these episodes is known for some terrific scenes that were amazingly created.
“On the Inside” is an episode ripped straight from a horror film. Connie and Virgil attempt to make their way to Alexandria but are being chased by someone, so they take shelter in a random house. It is discovered that a group of feral people live in this home and begin to terrorize the duo. Check out the BTS tidbits Deiboldt shared during the airing of the episode.
Deiboldt posted on Twitter that as he is in his final week working on The Walking Dead, he was thrilled to see a fanart poster for “On the Inside.” The fan artist is Kirk Manley, who does amazing work!
Deiboldt also commented that this episode was his favorite thing to write for the series.
His Instagram post tugged at fan’s heartstrings as he posted, “Three years, one pandemic, and forty-six hours of television later, we’ve reached the prep for my final #TWD episode.”
As the series is in its final season, it is bittersweet to see many cast and crew post their memories and final episode posts. The fandom will live on via the spin-off series and movies, but the flagship series will always be the best because it was the first.
The Walking Dead returns to AMC on Feb. 27 with the second episode of season 11B, “New Haunts.” This episode is available to stream on AMC+.
