The Walking Dead is currently airing episodes in part two of three for the final season of the series. So far, this segment of episodes has had a heavy focus on the Commonwealth. This community is well established with many amenities, but everything seems too perfect.

The previous episode, “New Haunts,” takes place 30 days after many Alexandria residents have been transplanted to the Commonwealth and shows how they are acclimating to life there. This episode begins with a Halloween celebration that featured the children of Alexandria experiencing many things previously unknown to them.

We also see the class distinctions that are a vital part of the Commonwealth. This is most evident with the exclusive masquerade ball, where only the upper crust could gain admittance. It was also revealed that there is a resistance to the Commonwealth. An ex-military trooper, Tyler Davis, made a spectacle during the ball alerting everyone to the fact that there is a “resist the Commonwealth” movement.

Carol was up to her normal sleuthing as she discovered sad news about Ezekiel’s health. But, she has found a way to help him by aiding Lance Hornsby with the promise of Ezekiel being bumped up on the surgery schedule. We also saw Rosita and Daryl during their basic training for the military.

AMC will air season 11 episode 11, “Rogue Element,” on Sunday, March 6 at 9 p.m. ET.

The Walking Dead Lucky Ones

The next episode, “Lucky Ones,” is currently available on AMC+. This episode will air on AMC on Sunday, March 13, at 9 p.m. ET.

This episode is written by Vivian Tse, who has also written six other episodes for the series, including “Stradivarius,” “Morning Star” (with Julia Ruchman), and “Splinter” (with Julia Ruchman).

Tawnia McKiernan directed this episode, her first for The Walking Dead but not the first in TWDU. She directed “Damage From the Inside” for Fear The Walking Dead.

The synopsis reads: Aaron and Maggie meet Governor Pamela Milton as she tours Alexandria, Oceanside, and Hilltop. Ezekiel finds himself lucky during a routine checkup. Eugene processes Max’s story.
