“The Rotton Core” was the most recent Walking Dead episode to air on AMC. This episode was a highly entertaining one featuring some significant surprises, a gruesome death, a very tense moment, and a tender one also. As season 11B comes to a close, things are vamping up, which will most likely end the segment of episodes on a major cliffhanger. It wouldn’t be The Walking Dead without that, right?

We saw the Riverbend drama continue; Negan is married to Annie, and they are expecting a child and Aaron took out Toby, and he was eaten by the very people he threw off the roof, love it when fate intervenes. Poor little Hershel had to pull a gun on the bad guy who killed his dad. And Maggie had to trust that Negan would protect her son when she couldn’t.

In another story, we had to listen to that pompous windbag Sebastian go on about his skills at killing walkers and watch him coerce Daryl and Rosita into retrieving cash from a house for him. If you remember, his mommy cut off his credit, and he can’t live the lifestyle he is used to. It was pretty awesome watching Daryl hold a knife to his throat. And Mercer and Carol! Who knew we needed to see those two save the day?

I think Mercer, Daryl, Carol and Rosita need to lead the Commonwealth Resistance and just be done with it.

Oh, and Leah! We knew we would see her, but man, she came back with a vengeance!

The Walking Dead fans react

It was a lively evening of Live Tweeting with fans expressing their opinions as always. It amazes me how clever people are, tieing the series into other memes and gifs of other shows or movies.

Below are some of my favorite Tweets of the night.

Daryl’s sarcasm wasn’t lost on anyone!

Agree!

Since it was Oscar night, this is very fitting and well deserved.

Couldn’t have said it better.

The reply to our Tweet was spot on.

Yes!
