As every fan knows, the Walking Dead series will air the final eight episodes by the end of 2022. The series that began airing on Halloween night in 2010 will close out the story just as the comic book did. One good thing fans of the series have to look forward to that the comic book fans did not are several spinoff series and a trilogy of movies that will continue the stories of some characters.

Fans are anxiously awaiting news of the premiere date for the series’ final eight episodes. It seems that AMC is waiting for any word or promotions for this year’s SDCC event that will take place July 21-24. This will be the first in-person event for the organization since 2019, so it is bound to be well attended.

Since this is the final season, is it astonishing that AMC hasn’t amped up the promotions for the third part of season 11? During the midseason finale that aired in April 2022, there was a short teaser for part 3, and that is all that has been released. No episode titles, sneak peeks, photos, or anything to hype up fans for what should be the most epic event in The Walking Dead universe.

The Walking Dead season 11 part 3

SDCC is traditionally the kick-off for promotion for the upcoming season, so surely AMC has something amazing planned at this event. We should see a full-length trailer for the remaining episodes that will give more clues for what is to come with the fall premiere date. I have speculated that October 2 will be the premiere date, allowing all episodes to air before Thanksgiving.

As previously announced, this will also allow AMC to host its epic fan event to celebrate the end of the series in November.

It will be interesting to see the panel guests for this event, as many TWD actors have moved on to new projects. By this time, Jeffrey Dean Morgan and Lauren Cohan could begin filming for Isle of the Dead, which will take place in Manhattan and a studio in New Jersey. But, surely they will attend to promote their new series and the last installment of TWD.

Norman Reedus has been in Europe for quite some time, but hopefully, he will make it back for SDCC. It would be very wrong if he and Melissa McBride aren’t in attendance as they are the two remaining cast members from season 1 still featured in the series.

We don’t have long to wait as SDCC will be held in a little over three weeks.

Next. Will there be more episodes of The Walking Dead?. dark
