Anyone who reads my posts about Fear the Walking Dead’s Colman Domingo knows I have a soft spot for his incredibly talented man. He is beautiful, inside and out; he has more talent in his pinky finger than the majority of us do in our entire beings, and I could listen to him recite an owner’s manual. Now, he has done it again with what appears to be a fantastic animated short.

The title is New Moon, and he and his husband, Raúl Domingo, have written this adorable animated short. Domingo voices the three characters in the short while R. Domingo directs with Jeffig Le Bars and Jérémie Balais. Produced by Edith Productions in which, Domingo is the found and CEO and R. Domingo serves as president.

Deadline reports that New Moon will premiere at Outfest L.A., which began July 14 and runs until July 24. This short is featured with the Blend into My Favorite Color program Saturday, July 16, 6:30 p.m. PT at Directors Guild of America, Theater 2. The synopsis reads: “A young boy and his mother’s inner-city dreams are accompanied by the magic of Aretha Franklin under the moonlight in West Philadelphia.”

Domingo will also be featured in North Star, another short film directed by PJ Palmer about a rural rancher and his ailing husband who makes a heartbreaking decision to preserve the dignity of their marriage.” Also starring Malcolm Gets, Audrey Wasilewski, Chris Sheffield, Laura Innes and Kevin Bacon.  This short is part of the Come to my Window program Saturday, July 16, 4:00 p.m. PT at Directors Guild of America, Theater 2.

Colman Domingo – upcoming

Watch for Domingo in season 8 of Fear the Walking Dead. It will be interesting to see his first meeting with Madison (Kim Dickens) after such a long period of time.

He will also star as Mister in the musical adaptation of The Color Purple.

In his first lead role, he will portray Gay and Civil Rights activist Bayard Rustin in the film Rustin, produced for Netflix by Barack Obama and Michelle Obama’s production company Higher Ground Productions.

Congratulations are in order, as Domingo has been nominated for an Emmy for his role on Euphoria!

Next. Walking Dead spin offs in order, the complete list, so far. dark
