The first Tales of the Walking Dead episode premieres on AMC in a little over a week. On Sunday, August 14 at 9 p.m. ET, “Evie/Joe” will air as the first episode of the series. Featuring Terry Crews and Olivia Munn, this episode is described as a road trip episode.
Crews plays Joe, a prepper who leaves the confines of his bunker, and meets Evie (Munn), a person who is the exact opposite of his personality. They team up to seek out the locations of their lost loved ones. This episode is directed by Ron Underwood (Fear TWD, Tremors) and written by Ben Sokolowski (World Beyond, Arrow) and Maya Goldsmith (World Beyond, Pretty Little Liars).
This Sunday, August 7, at 9 p.m. ET on AMC, Talking Dead will host a special Walking Dead Preview Special. This episode of Talking Dead, hosted by Chris Hardwick, will tease Tales of the Walking Dead, Isle of the Dead, the Daryl spinoff, and the Rick and MIchonne series. The guests for the episode will include Scott M. Gimple, director Michael Satrazemis, and Tales of TWD actors Terry Crews, Jullian Bell and Anthony Edwards. Questions can be submitted to the guests via Twitter using the hashtag #TalkingDead
Each of the three guests stars in their own episode, so it will be interesting to hear what tidbits they can share.
