Walking Dead spin off series: Tales of the Walking Dead, how to watch

The newest spin off series in The Walking Dead universe is Tales of the Walking Dead. This series premiered on AMC and AMC+ on August 14 and features standalone stories that take place in the same world as TWD but introduce new characters in new settings.
On Sunday, August 21, the second episode, “Blair/Gina,” will premiere on AMC at 9 p.m. ET. This episode was written by Kari Drake and directed by Michael Satrazemis and is an innovative episode, unlike anything TWDU has seen before. It is a twisted reality adventure that pairs up a self-absorbed overbearing boss Blair (Parker Posey) and her underappreciated, disgruntled receptionist Gina (Jullian Bell).
“Blair/Gina” takes place in Atlanta at the onset of the outbreak when the city’s entire population tries to make sense of reports they are hearing about people attacking others. As everyone tries to make their way out of the city, traffic jams, gas shortages and walkers begin to complicate things.
This episode also stars Matt Medrano, Kevin L. Johnson, Patrick Donohue, VK as Jasmine, Ameer Baraka, William J. Simmons and Keith Adams.
Tales of the Walking Dead new episode
While AMC will be premiering the second episode AMC+, the network’s subscription service will premiere the third episode, “Dee.” This episode sees Samantha Morton return to TWDU during a time when she was known as Dee, and her daughter Lydia (Scarlett Blum) was much younger than viewers saw in The Walking Dead series. Blum is the actress who portrayed Lydia in flashbacks in the main series.
The episode partly takes place on a riverboat and sees a brooding Dee watch her daughter like a hawk. This episode also sees Dee begin to teach her daughter survival skills needed in the harsh world they find themselves in.
It is a fantastic episode that takes a look at one of the most evil villains in The Walking Dead universe before she became known as Alpha.
