This week’s Walking Dead universe news (August 26, 2022)
By Renee Hansen
The Walking Dead universe had some interesting news this week with the title change for the Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) and Maggie (Lauren Cohan) spinoff series Isle of the Dead. The new title is The Walking Dead: Dead City and the title art has been revealed, complete with graffiti, which is fitting for a series set in NYC.
The second episode of Tales of the Walking Dead, “Blair/Gina,” was met with mixed reviews from fans. It was a unique episode that took cues from movies like Groundhog Day and Happy Death Day, where the scenario is repeated while the characters try to have a different outcome. It is a highly entertaining episode worth the watch.
This Sunday, Tales of the Walking Dead will air its third episode on AMC titled “Dee.” This episode sees the return of Alpha, played once again by Samantha Morton. She is joined by Scarlett Blum, who reprises her role as a young Lydia. It is a fantastic episode that you won’t want to miss. You can watch it now on AMC+.
