If Beale Street Could Talk starring Colman Domingo on Netflix

Beginning September 1, another movie starring Fear the Walking Dead’s Colman Domingo will be available to stream on Netflix. Domingo is known for portraying the con man Victor Strand in The Walking Dead spinoff series currently filming its eighth season. The movie is titled If Beale Street Could Talk that was originally released in 2018.
The film was written and directed by Barry Jenkins from his 2013 screenplay based on the 1974 novel by James Baldwin. In addition to Domingo, the cast includes KiKi Layne, Stephan James, Teyonah Parris, Michael Beach, Dave Franco, Diego Luna, Pedro Pascal, Ed Skrein, Brian Tyree Henry and Regina King.
The story follows Clementine “Tish” Rivers (Layne) and her childhood friend Alonzo “Fonny” Hunt (James), who became romantically involved as they grew older. Tish enlists her family’s support to clear Fonny’s name of a crime he is innocent of before the birth of their child.
Domingo and Parris portray Tish’s parents Joseph and Ernestine.

Colman Domingo – upcoming projects
In Fear the Walking Dead’s upcoming eighth season, Domingo will be seen as Victor Strand once again. The next season will see many changes as the filming locations have moved from Austin, Texas, to Savannah, Georgia, and the storyline will reflect this. The season 7 finale saw the survivors on their way to locate a new, safer location to live, and the mysterious PADRE was introduced.
Soon fans will see Domingo in a musical adaptation of The Color Purple, where he will take on the role of Mister. He will also portray Civil Rights activist Bayard Rustin in the Netflix film Rustin.
Domingo was recently nominated for a Primetime Emmy Award for his role as Ali in the HBO series Euphoria in the Outstanding Guest Actor in a Drama Series category.
Recently he received the first-ever CinemaQ LaBahn Ikon Film Award for his decades-long career on stage and screen, bringing true visibility to LGBTQIA+ actors the world over.
