The Walking Dead will come to a close in November 2022 after a 12-year run. Along the way, fans of the series have grown very fond of the actors who have played characters in this universe and follow their careers, enjoying the new projects they are involved in. One wildly popular series from Prime Video that features several members of TWD Family is The Boys.

The Boys is a Prime Video original series based on the comic of the same name by y Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson. The story follows a group of vigilantes who battle superpowered individuals who chose to abuse their abilities. The series stars  Karl Urban, Jack Quaid, Antony Starr, Erin Moriarty, Dominique McElligott, Jessie T. Usher, Chace Crawford, Laz Alonso, Tomer Capone, Karen Fukuhara, and Nathan Mitchell.

It has been long rumored that Jeffrey Dean Morgan, who plays Negan on The Walking Dead and the spinoff series The Walking Dead: Dead City currently filming in New Jersey, will one day make an appearance in The Boys. The series has been renewed for a fourth season, and fans have waited patiently for any announcements of Morgan’s inclusion in this season.

UPDATE: The wait is over. Morgan was recently announced to star in the fourth season of The Boys. Fans of Morgan have longed to see JDM in this series. It would reunite Morgan with Supernatural and The Boys creator Eric Kripke and Jensen Ackles, who stars in both series. In the Supernatural series, Morgan portrayed the Winchester patriarch, John, the father of Ackles’ character Dean.

The Walking Dead actors in The Boys

While we wait to see if JDM stars in the series, there are several actors in The Walking Dead universe who do appear in The Boys series.

Laurie Holden – she portrayed Andrea during The Walking Dead seasons 1-3. The comic book character was a badass who lived on far into the story. Her on-screen counterpart was quite different, and most fans weren’t fond of her. In The Boys, she plays the Crimson Countess, a Vought Superheronie with heat vision, fire, and heat manipulation powers. This character is a parody of Marvel’s Scarlet Witch.

Colby Minifie – she played Virginia in the first spinoff, Fear the Walking Dead, during seasons 5 and 6. She was an intelligent and manipulative leader of the Pioneers who were killed by June Dorie (Jenna Elfman). During season 2 of The Boys, she began playing Ashely Barrett,  CEO and former Director of Talent Relations for Vought International.

Laila Robins – a newcomer to season 11 of The Walking Dead, who plays Pamela Milton, governor of the Commonwealth.  The new trailer shows Milton in trouble during the series’ final episodes. She has portrayed Lieutenant-Colonel Grace Mallory, the former Deputy Director of the CIA and the founder of The Boys since season 1 of that series.

Jessie T. Usher – another newcomer to TWDU, he stars in the fifth episode, “Davon,” of the new spinoff Tales of the Walking Dead. His episode will air on AMC on September 11 and feature Embeth Davidtz, Loan Chabanol and Gage Monroe. In The Boys, he portrays A-Train (real name Reginald “Reggie” Franklin), who possesses the power of speed.

Who did I miss? Are there other Walking Dead universe actors who star in The Boys? Let me know in the comments I will add them.
