Fear the Walking Dead is the first of many spinoffs of The Walking Dead series that aired its finale in November 2022. Fans of the universe are eager to see more content in this world. Fear TWD will begin its eighth season but will it release in 2023?
So far, the only confirmed release in 2023 is The Walking Dead: Dead City, which will begin in April. The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon is also expected to release in 2023, and since this series began filming in the fall of 2022, it will likely be the next to see a release. In a recent interview Danai Gurira, who will reprise her role as Michonne in the Rick and Michonne series, stated that the goal is to release this spinoff sometime after Halloween 2023.
With that information, it is likely that Fear the Walking Dead will be the first TWDU release in 2023, with the first part of season 8 premiering before Dead City. This would allow the second part of the season to fit in between Daryl Dixon and Rick & Michonne. This is all speculation comparing previous seasons’ release dates.

The remainder of the survivors are looking for a new, safe place to live, and changing filming locations to Savannah, Georgia, allows these changes to occur.
