By Renee Hansen
The Walking Dead: Dead City will mark the fourth spinoff of The Walking Dead. This series will see Lauren Cohan and Jeffrey Dean Morgan reprise their roles of Maggie and Negan, respectively, on a new mission that will take them to Manhattan. With the conclusion of The Walking Dead in November 2022, fans are eager for new TWDU content. The excellent news, Dead City will debut in 2023.
Dead City will jump ahead a few years from the flagship’s one-year time jump in the series finale episode “Rest in Peace.” The main series gave a glimpse into the lives of the survivors one year after the altercation with the Commonwealth that put Governor Milton (Laila Robins) in prison.
The unlikely pairing of Maggie and Negan had fans curious if Maggie would finally forgive Negan for the brutal killing of her husband, Glenn (Steven Yeun). But an emotional conversation in TWD finale confirmed that although Maggie is grateful to Negan for protecting her son, she will never forgive him for Glenn.

But as the pair moves deeper into the gritty depths of the walker-infested city, it becomes apparent that the traumas of their tumultuous past may prove just as great a threat as the dangers of the present."
