The Devil to Pay starring TWDs Jayson Warner Smith and Adam Boyer

On Jan. 17, 2023, Netflix will have a new release starring two actors from The Walking Dead titled The Devil to Pay. This independent thriller which premiered at the 2019 Atlanta Film Festival, stars Jayson Warner Smith and Adam Boyer.

Warner Smith is well known for his portrayal of the Savior named Gavin, who met his end at the hands of Henry (Matt Lintz). He then returns as a hallucination to haunt Morgan (Lennie James).

Boyer was seen in season 4 as Bat Smock Man, one of the Terminus butchers at the trough. Fans remember this scene well as several favorite’s lives were on the line until Carol (Melissa McBride) saved the day.

The Devil to Pay – now streaming on Netflix

The Devil to Pay is a thriller that marks the film debut of the husband and wife duo Ruckus and Lane Skye. The pair wrote and directed the film, which received positive reviews and has a 90% on Rotten Tomatoes. 

The story follows a struggling Appalachian farmer who, after her husband’s disappearance, must work to repay his debut to some of the most influential people in the area. The clock is ticking as she works for the repayment before they make good on the promise to hurt her son.

The trailer reveals the movie as a twisted tail of backwoods Appalachia where long-held land owners live by their own rules. Oh, and something to do with what appears to be a cult.
