Walking Dead actor Steven Yeun will always be remembered for his role as Glenn Rhee. He was a fan-favorite character who fell in love with Maggie (Lauren Cohan) and met with one of the most tragic deaths of the entire 177 episodes of the series. Yeun has starred in many other memorable roles since departing the series and will next be featured in a Netflix original series, Beef.
Vanity Fair reports that showrunner Lee Sung Jin, known for Silicon Valley, and Dave wrote the ten-episode dark comedy Beef. Lee directs, along with Jake Schreier and Hikari, and Sung Jin, Yeun, Schreier, and Ali Wong, executive producing.
Beef is an A24 production that follows two strangers after a road rage incident. Sung Jin’s own experience with road rage inspired the story. The series reunites Tuca & Bertie actors Yeun and Wong as leads for the darkly comedic yet moving tale.
