Walking Dead’s Cooper Andrews in Shazam! Fury of the Gods, in theaters

Fans of The Walking Dead love the optimistic and friendly Jerry, played by Cooper Andrews. Jerry is always smiling and finding joy in life, even in the apocalypse. Cooper stars in a new movie that has just been released in theaters this weekend, Shazam! Fury of the Gods.
The latest movie is a sequel to 2019’s Shazam! Both are directed by David F. Sandberg, known for the horror films Lights Out and Annabelle: Creation. Henry Gayden and Chris Morgan wrote Shazam! Fury of the Gods, that released in theaters on March 17, 2023.

The new film again sees Zachary Levi and Asher Angel as Shazam and Billy Batson, respectively. Other returning cast includes
Jack Dylan Grazer will also be back as Freddy Freeman. Other returning cast members include Djimon Hounsou, Jack Dylan Grazer, D.J. Cotrona, Adam Brody, Ross Butler, Faithe Herman, and Meagan Good. Helen Mirren and Lucy Liu join the story as Hespera and Kalypso, the Daughters of Atlas. Another new addition to the sequel is Rachel Zegler, who portrays Anne/Anthea.
Andrews reprises his role as does Marta Milans as Victor and Rosa Vásquez, foster parents of Billy and his siblings.

What else does Cooper Andrews star in?
Andrews starred in The Walking Dead as Jerry from 2016-2022 in 76 episodes. Other roles he is well known for include the animated Justice League: Cosmic Chaos and Aquaman: King of Atlantis, as the voice of Aquaman. He has also starred in NCIS: Los Angeles, Darlin’, Den of Thieves, S.W.A.T., Halt and Catch Fire, Hawaii Five-O, The Red Road, and more.
Next, he will play the role of Dad in a short film directed by Patrick Rea, The Last Butterflies, with fellow Walking Dead actor Adam Boyer (Bat Smock Man from Terminus).
