Walking Dead actor Josh Hamilton stars in The Last Thing He Told Me

Actor Josh Hamilton will forever be known to fans of The Walking Dead as Lance Hornsby, Deputy Governor of the Commonwealth. Hamilton did a magnificent job portraying the power-hungry, psychotic leader of that community. Next, Hamilton will star alongside fellow Walking Dead actress and director Aisha Tyler in a thriller, The Last Thing He Told Me. 

Laura Dave and Josh Singer created this series for Apple TV based on the novel by Dave. Produced by Hello Sunshine, Reece Witherspoon’s production company, the series is directed by Olivia Newman (Where the Crawdads Sing) with Witherspoon, Newman, Dave, Singer, and Lauren Neustadter executive producing.

The story follows Jennifer Garner’s Hannah, who is searching for her husband, who suddenly disappears. Along the way, she forms an unexpected bond with her 16-year-old stepdaughter.

Hamilton is featured in the trailer talking with Hannah at a bar. Other cast members include Angourie Rice, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Geoff Stults, John Harlan Kim, and Augusto Aguilera. Aisha Tyler plays Hannah’s best friend, Jules.

The Last Thing He Told Me premieres on AppleTV+ on April 14. 2023.

Hamilton shared his involvement in the series on social media. Garner replied, “I would shoot these scenes with you and David over again tonight. And again. tomorrow. sublime.” To which Hamilton replied, “Yes, please.”

He will star in an upcoming release titled Reality, which also stars Sydney Sweeney, Marchánt Davis, Benny Elledge, and John Way. The film premiered at the 2023 Berlin International Film Festival and, according to IMDB, will release on May 29, 2023, on HBO at 10 p.m. PT/ET and will be available to stream on Max. This drama film is adapted from the FBI interrogation transcript of American intelligence whistleblower Reality Winner.
