Fear the Walking Dead actor Garret Dillahunt is remembered fondly for portraying John Dorie on the series. Dillahunt has starred in many notable roles during his career, and next fans can see him in the Showtime series Ghosts of Beirut.
Emmy award-winning director Greg Barker directs all four episodes of the Showtime series Ghosts of Beirut. Barker, along with Daniel Dreifuss, executive produced the series created by Avi Issacharoff and Lior Raz. The script is written by Lebanese screenwriter Joëlle Touma who co-executive produces with Padriac McKinley and Diane Becker.
The series is a four-part spy drama on one of the great espionage stories based on the true account of an elusive Lebanese terrorist, Imad Mughniyeh, aka The Ghost, who was able to outwit the CIA and Mossad for decades. He was implicated in the Hezbollah attacks during the 1980s and 1990s. The limited series uses documentary elements, deep journalistic research, and a narrative approach to tell the story. The series will also include actual interviews with CIA and Mossad officials.
The story is told from American, Israeli, and Lebanese perspectives, following two generations of CIA officers. The series will trace Mughniyeh’s origins from the Shiite slums of South Beirut to the mastermind of suicide bombing.
