The Walking Dead Rick and Michonne series Summit
In May 2023, filming for the six-episode series was completed, with a release date expected in 2024.
While little information has been released regarding the series, one thing is known the long-awaited reunion of Rick and Michonne will finally be seen. Viewers are hopeful that the series will fill in the gaps of what has occurred with the two characters since they were last seen in the main series.
Pollyanna McIntosh will return as Jadis, which only makes sense since she is a high-ranking official in the CRM (Civic Republic Military), the organization she traded Rick to. Another new character, played by Lucifer actress Lesley-Ann Brandt is Pearl Thorne, but nothing is known about this character yet.
The synopsis for the series reads:
"This series presents an epic love story of two characters changed by a changed world. Kept apart by distance. By an unstoppable power. By the ghosts of who they were. Rick and Michonne are thrown into another world, built on a war against the dead… And ultimately, a war against the living. Can they find each other and who they were in a place and situation unlike any they’ve ever known before? Are they enemies? Lovers? Victims? Victors? Without each other, are they even alive — or will they find that they, too, are the Walking Dead?"
