THE WALKING DEAD NEWS: Dead City premiere date and more
By Renee Hansen
Fans of The Walking Dead are looking forward to the premiere of The Walking Dead: Dead City spinoff. This series will continue the stories of Maggie (Lauren Cohan) and Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) as they team up to rescue Maggie’s son Hershel (Logan Kim), who a former underling of Negan’s has abducted.
Dead City will premiere on AMC on June 19 at 9 p.m. ET. and on Thursday, June 15 on AMC+. This series is the first direct spinoff of The Walking Dead and features two main characters from that series. Maggie and Negan have never been friends but have often been forced to become allies. The series also stars Gaius Charles, Zeljko Ivanek, Mahina Napoleon, Trey Santiago-Hudson, Lisa Emery, Aixa Kendrick, and Pallavi Sastry.
Fear the Walking Dead airs the fifth episode of part one of its final season on June 11 and the midseason finale on June 18, following the debut of Dead City. This season has revealed much about PADRE, and the recent episode “King County” saw Grace (Karen David) bitten by a walker. This week’s episode, “More Time Than You Know,” sees the survivors in a race against the clock and PADRE’s guards to get her back to June (Jeana Elfman) for her experimental radiation treatment.
