The Walking Dead: Dead City episode 3, “People Are a Resource,” airs on AMC on Sunday, July 2. This episode will see Maggie (Lauren Cohan) and Negan(Jeffrey Dean Morgan) formulate a plan, with the help of the Tribespeople, to rescue Hershel (Logan Kim).

In the sneak peek clip below, Maggie, Negan, Tomasso (Jonathan Higginbotham), and Amaia (Karina Ortiz) work together to figure out the best way to infiltrate Madison Square Garden, the stronghold of The Croat  (Željko Ivanek).

Negan describes a plan to which Amaia asks, “How do you know?”

This leads to the discussion that Negan knows The Croat and used to be in league with him.

AMC will release episode 3, “People Are a Resource,” of Dead City on Sunday, July 2, at 9 p.m. ET, and AMC+ subscribers can watch this episode beginning June 29. Written by TWDU newcomer Keith Staskiewicz, the episode is directed by TWD veteran Kevin Dowling, who directed during the final season of The Walking Dead.

The Walking Dead: Dead City – Negan knows how The Croat operates.

Will the Tribespeople trust Negan after finding out this information? The Croat and his Burazi have terrorized them for years.

After learning her lesson of lying to the Tribespeople, Maggie tells them about Negan’s tie to The Croat. From there, they lay out the plan to rescue Hershel and kill The Croat.
