AMC will premiere The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon in September and has slowly released new character profiles for the series. One new character is Sylvie, portrayed by Laïka Blanc-Francard. A new clip features the actress introducing her character.
The Daryl Dixon series will take Daryl to new places across the sea, France, to be exact. He will wash ashore in a new land and is determined to return home. While on his journey, he encounters a group, The Union of Hope, comprises a group of nuns and a young boy, Laurent (Louis Puech Scigliuzzi).
One of the nuns, Isabelle (Clémence Poésy), explains to Daryl that they believe he was sent to them to aid Laurent on his journey to become the one who leads the revival of humanity. From the promo clips that have been released for the series, it is evident that the nuns are well-prepared for the apocalypse. They appear to be unwavering in their faith and have a well-stocked arsenal full of weapons they also know how to use.
Sylvie is another nun who lives at the Abby and is very generous and devout in her faith. She isn’t afraid to stand against anything that comes her way.
The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon villains
Daryl, Isabelle, Sylvie, and Laurant will embark on the journey, but things won’t be easy. They will come against mutated walkers and a political movement, The Cause. Genet (Anne Charrier) is the leader of this group with her right-hand man Codron (Ramain Levi), who has orders to kill the American.
This new series is set and filmed in France, giving it a much different feel than any other series in The Walking Dead universe. The landscape alone is a drastic change from the wooded setting of many of the other series. Reedus has said that the whole series has a different tone to it and is a reset, of sorts, for Daryl.
Don’t miss The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon on AMC when it premieres September 10 at 9 p.m. ET.
