Jeffrey Dean Morgan shows support for Norman Reedus’ new spinoff
By Renee Hansen
Jeffrey Dean Morgan and Norman Reedus are well known for their fun-loving bromance. The pair met years prior to co-starring in The Walking Dead, but since that time, their bond has grown much stronger. This week, Morgan posted on social media to support his friend’s new spinoff, The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon.
Norman Reedus’ new series, a spinoff focused on his character Daryl Dixon from The Walking Dead series, will premiere on AMC on Sunday, September 10 at 9 p.m. ET. AMC’s marketing team has done a fantastic job of promoting the new series, including the massive billboard that Morgan posted below. The series promotions have also included several teasers and new character introductions.
Morgan seems impressed with the billboard size featuring Reedus’ Daryl front and center.
The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon – starring Norman Reedus
The newest spinoff of the main series, The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon, will see Daryl in an overseas voyage to France. He will arrive with no memory of how or why he is there and is only certain that he must make his way back home. Along the way, he will meet new people who make his return difficult as they are in dire need of his help and others who want to harm him.
The series has been renewed for a second season in which Norman Reedus’ Walking Dead co-star Melissa McBride will reprise her role as Carol Peletier.
The Walking Dead: Dead City – starring Jeffrey Dean Morgan
Morgan’s new series, The Walking Dead: Dead City, concluded its first season in July 2023 and has been renewed for a second. This series is set in Manhattan and features Morgan’s Negan along with Maggie (Lauren Cohan). The first season focused on the rescue of Maggie’s son Hershel (Logan Kim). Maggie betrays Negan and trades him for her son’s freedom to a villainous group who intend to take Manhattan for their own with Negan’s help.
Don’t miss The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon when it premieres on AMC and AMC+ in September.
