Walking Dead’s Andrew Lincoln stars in holiday favorite movie on Netflix

Actor Andrew Lincoln is best known for portraying The Walking Dead hero Rick Grimes. Lincoln will reprise his role in the new spinoff The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live, set to release in 2024. While you wait, you can catch Lincoln in the role of Mark, a vastly different character than Rick, in the holiday favorite Love Actually.
This film is renowned by many as a holiday “must-see.” Created by British screenwriter, producer, and director Richard Curtis, who is well known for his outstanding romantic comedies, including Notting Hill, The Bridget Jones series of films, and Four Weddings and a Funeral.
Netflix has just added Love Actually to its catalog on October 1, 2023.
Love Actually is primarily filmed on location in London and follows ten different stories that feature interlinked characters. The story begins five weeks before Christmas with a countdown to Christmas, followed by an epilogue one month later.
The soundtrack alone is worth a listen, featuring many hit songs, including “God Only Knows” by the Beach Boys, “Both Sides Now” by Joni Mitchell, and “Turn Me On” by Norah Jones. There is also a fantastic wedding scene featuring the Beatles’ “All You Need Is Love,” sung by the late Lynden David Hall. The film also features tunes by Kelly Clarkson, Dido, Maroon 5, The Calling, Otis Redding, and, of course, a version of Mirah Carey’s “All I Want For Christmas Is You,” sung by Oliva Olson, who also stars.
Love Actually cast
The talent included in this film is outstanding. Lincoln portrays Mark, a man secretly in love with a woman he can’t have. Hugh Grant portrays David, the Prime Minister of the UK, with Billy Bob Thornton as the President of the United States.
Other actors include Liam Neeson, Colin Firth, Laura Linney, Emma Thompson, Alan Rickman, Keira Knightley, Martine McCutcheon, Bill Nighy, Rowan Atkinson, Thomas Brodie-Sangster and Chiwetel Ejiofor. Other notable names include Claudia Schiffer, Elisha Cuthbert, January Jones, Denise Richards, and Martin Freeman.
