AMC and The Walking Dead universe have had a fabulous year with the release of two new spinoffs, The Walking Dead: Dead City and The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon, and will wrap the year with the final episodes of Fear the Walking Dead.

The first six episodes of the eighth and final season aired earlier in 2023, with the last six premiering on AMC and AMC+ on Sunday, October 22. Fear TWD is the first in a long line of spinoffs in TWDU, which initially took place at the onset of the outbreak on the West Coast.

Part 1 of season 8 saw a significant focus on the new lives led by the survivors after a seven-year time jump and the fall of PADRE. These episodes also featured Morgan Jones (Lennie James) in his final episodes of TWDU. James has portrayed Morgan since the pilot episode of The Walking Dead in 2010.

The back half of the season has a lot of excitement and has the potential to end the series on a high note.

Below is a teaser featuring Victor Strand (Colman Domingo), who now goes by Anton and Madison (Kim Dickens). Their reunion is less than friendly, and for a good reason.

This final installment of episodes will also feature the return of Troy Otto (Daniel Sharman). This character was last seen with a severe head wound floating in the flood waters of the Gonzalez Dam. He is back for revenge, as Madison is the one who issued the damaging blow to his head.

Madison will also face the reality of losing her children,  Alicia (Alycia Debnam-Carey) and Nick (Frank Dillane). Which begs the question, did director Michael Satrazemis confirm Alicia’s death? Read about it here.

The other survivor’s stories will also be concluded in these final episodes, but things may seem rushed with only six episodes remaining to tell the stories.

Fear the Walking Dead season 8, part 2 premieres on Sunday, October 22 at 3 a.m. ET on AMC+ and at 9 p.m. ET on AMC.
