In their write-up of the interview, People included a line at the very end that stated, "The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon returns this fall on AMC."
Obviously, this isn't official confirmation that the zombie show will return with its fourth season in the fall since it's not from the network itself. However, the fact that the news outlet was present at the AMC Upfronts suggests it may have gotten some inside scoop on where Daryl Dixon season 4 is currently positioned within AMC’s broader 2026 programming lineup.
Not only that, but People is a well-established and reputable entertainment outlet that regularly covers major network announcements and industry events. This gives the wording a bit more weight than a random social media rumor. Still, it’s important to draw a clear distinction here. This is not an official AMC confirmation of a season 4 fall premiere date.
Until the network issues a formal announcement with a specific premiere date attached to Daryl Dixon season 4, the “fall 2026” window should be treated as an informed expectation rather than a finalized schedule.
