The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon will premiere its third season in 2025, and the story will move from France to Spain. Walking Dead universe fans are patiently waiting for a release date for another spinoff, The Walking Dead: Dead City, announced for Spring 2025, but instead, AMC TWD socials excited fans with a Daryl Dixon announcement.

The first two seasons were set and filmed in France, with the second reintroducing Carol Peletier (Melissa McBride) to TWDU. The fandom had longed for the reunion between the two characters and was rewarded as they found each other in France.

The third season of the Daryl Dixon spinoff has been filming for quite some time, and now AMC has revealed that production has wrapped up for the third season, teasing viewers with, "and we're getting closer." The series has been announced for a 2025 release, but an exact date has yet to be established. AMC and AMC+ premiered the first and second seasons in Sept. 2023 and 2024, respectively, so it's possible the third will follow this trend.

Carol experienced her own demons as she battled with the memory of the loss of her daughter Sophia (Madison Lintz).

Emmy Award-winning Stephen Merchant has been added to the season 3 cast where he will appear in episode 1 as a "very interesting character." Merchant has been announced with a massive list of new actors, including Spanish actor Óscar Jaenada with Eduardo Noriega, Alexandra Masangkay, Hugo Arbués, and Candela Saitta.
